Flagstone is a Luxembourg based reinsurance company publically traded on the New York Stock Exchange, providing short tail property catastrophe, property and speciality reinsurance in the global market.Reporting to the Group CFO,responsible for managing, directly and indirectly, 35 finance professionals in the Halifax office providing G&A accounting, Consolidations, Reinsurance accounting, Investment accounting, Treasury, External Reporting and Budgeting and Planning.I coordinated the completion of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements for the group of 40-45 companies, in 12 countries and in 8 reporting currencies, and provided advice to the Executive Management Committee and Audit Committee of the Board on accounting policy, internal controls, SOX controls, Audit issues and group finance staffing issues.

MedMira is a public bio-technology company that develops and manufactures rapid diagnostic tests for infectious and non-infectious diseases. The Company’s main product is a rapid HIV test sold in the United States, China and other countries worldwide.Reporting to the President and CEO, I was responsible for all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, cash flow management, capital market management and investor relations. I was also responsible for corporate governance issues through my role as Corporate Secretary.
