I am responsible for the day-to-day news operation of WLWT in Cincinnati. I help manage a team of 81 news professionals to make sure WLWT's on-air and online content serves our community, engages with viewers, and advances our brand philosophy.I recruit and hire employees in several job categories. I have a wide range of contacts to help recruit talented candidates. I also work within Hearst to help employees advance in the company to new positions.

I am responsible for the production, look and content of newscasts at noon, 5:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. I coach producers to improve presentation, writing and story selection. I am responsible for keeping our newscasts focused on our philosophy and our brand.I am also responsible for recruitment, vetting, interviewing and hiring news producers. I develop contacts and systems to ensure the producers we hire are dynamic and highly qualified.

My primary job is to produce the 6:00 p.m. newscast. I also coach other producers to help improve the production value and writing of our newscasts.

As the number two manager in the newsroom, I ran the day-to-day operation and managed a staff of approximately 50 employees. I was responsible for all news content and presentation.Working with the news director, I developed contacts, recruited new employees, and was responsible for interviewing and hiring.
