Semi-retired Management Executive formerly responsible for overseeing project delivery, risk management and compliance in an engineering consulting and A&E firm for a portfolio that includes AE, Emergency Management and Advisory services, primarily for the US Military, USAID, other government agencies, and other nations' development agencies. Experienced Engineer and Program Manager on large, complex programs both domestically and internationally, to include managing USAID’s largest infrastructure renewal operation in Afghanistan. Former military officer and commander with deployment experience in Joint (multiple Service) and Combined (International) operations, including in conflict areas. Served in highest level engineering staff positions on the Army and Joint Staffs in the Pentagon. Holds Masters Degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Strategic Studies, a Professional Engineer License from the Commonwealth of Virginia, and is a Fellow in SAME. Currently teaches Engineering Management and Ethics as an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University (GMU), and is a Board Member on the Civil Engineering Institute at GMU, and on the SAME Foundation.
