Ibm Software Services Websphere (Issw) - Bpm Consultant

Ibm

London, United Kingdom

My primary focus while working for ISSW in the UK was the creation, development and marketing of the Simple Process Accelerator (SPA). SPA is an accelerator that empowers business users to configure and deploy business processes autonomously, without the need for IT involvement. I developed a large proportion of the original code base and was heavily involved in the marketing and education of various groups both within IBM as well as customers.I was then heavily involved in the first implementation of SPA for one of the world's largest banking and financial services company. I was involved with this engagement from the initial Proof of Concept (PoC) stage, through contract negotiation, to the development of the initial release. Acting as the development lead for the project, I was responsible for a globally dispersed development team and was the primary contact point for the business stakeholders. The engagement was extremely successful and is due to be rolled out globally.I was awarded the IBM Software Services Outstanding Contribution award for my efforts during my brief stay in ISSW.

Global Business Serivces - Bpm Consultant

Ibm

London, United Kingdom

I have been working as part of the BPM Strategic Growth Initiative team and have been personally responsible for the creation of a number Business Process Management (BPM) demonstrations to encourage the adoption of BPM, predominantly within the Financial Services Sector. The aim of this engagement has been to demonstrate to potential clients, the benefit of applying BPM as a methodology in the creation and maintenance of an organisation’s business processes. The demonstrations have been created in IBM BPM v8 and have been showcased to a number of the top UK retail banks. In order to fully demonstrate the way in which the BPM methodology can benefit an organisation, it was necessary to utilise three key software packages: IBM Business Process Manager, IBM Business Monitor (BM) and IBM Websphere Operational Decision Manager (WODM). These packages interlink closely and make up the three of main constituents of a BPM solution. Business Monitor is a software package that deals with monitoring data generated from external systems and displaying it in a way that can be easily interpreted and analysed. WODM, the successor to iLog, is a business rules engine, allowing rules to be created in Business Actual Language (BAL). This makes business rules readily accessible to the business side of organisations and reduces the reliance on IT teams for alteration and implementation. Both of these packages are designed to closely interact with IBM BPM.This work has provided experience in developing in the following software products:IBM Business Process Manager (v7 & v8)IBM Websphere Operational Decision ManagerIBM Business Monitor
