Data Center GPU Board/System Verification

- Validate and test Aurora Driver compute hardware system.

- Member of the Platforms and Google Fiber Teams, responsible for prototype bring-up, characterizing, verifying and testing datacenter networking and computing hardware equipment.- Measured and characterized power/signal integrity of physical layer buses and signals on design, including I2C, SPI, MDIO, xGMII, DDR1/2/3, PCIe Gen1/2/3, SATA Gen1/2, USB2/3, HDMI, XAUI/SFI and 10G SERDES electrical and optical interfaces.- Measured and wrote scripts to capture eye diagrams of SERDES ports and optical (SFP+, QSFP) modules for tuning and optimizing settings.- Measured and characterized conductive and over-the-air WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac parameters.- Familiar with High Speed realtime and sampling Oscilloscope, Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer and TDR.- Other testing responsibilities included EMC, Safety, Compliance, Manufacturing, Mechanical design validation, Thermal testing with thermocouple/Infrared camera, and Audio level testing with sound meter.- Validation testing (4-corner testing) by margining system voltages and temperatures while running diagnostics, stress, and traffic tests, such as PRBS, to verify robustness, margin, and quality.- Wrote specifications and Verilog HDL code for glue logic on four networking systems.- Wrote TCL Expect scripts to control and automate unit under test, chamber, and test equipment. - Troubleshot design issues during development and deployment.- Managed lab space and lab equipment by evaluating, ordering, and supporting its utilization in the lab.- Managed a lab team of 18 test engineers and technicians.- Supported product development cycle from specification, design, bring-up, validation, to release for production.

- Member of TelePresence Business Unit, responsible for next generation HD video conferencing designs.- As EDVT hardware engineer, verified new hardware designs or second source components of Cisco 800 to 3800 series routers and TelePresence systems through margining frequency, voltage, and temperature to produce corner case failures in hardware and software.- Troubleshot design issues in hardware using oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and/or software simulation.- Led team in second source and valued engineering testing, saving costs and preventing line stop issues.- Managed and led all RMA failure analysis effort for all Telepresence returned Field Replaceable Units.- Worked with design team in signal integrity measurements to analyze timing, signal qualities, overshoot, and undershoot of Cisco signal specifications.- Worked with design team with FPGA (Xilinx, Lattice) code modification and schematic entry using Cadence Concept HDL.- Designed new backplane for new generation of TelePresence products.- Built out environmental chamber lab and general R&D lab space for TelePresence team.- Improved team productivity through development and implementation of TCL Expect script.- Obtained Cisco Certified Network Associate Certification (CCNA).- Won Cisco Pioneer Award for Innovation as part of TelePresence hardware team in 2007.

- Tested the GTD-5 (Central Office Telephone Switch) for software and hardware problems.- Tested Maintenance, Control/Diagnostic, and Recovery software using fault insertion method.- Performed integration and system testing on GTD-5 as member of Network Expansion project to double the capacity of the switch.
