About Bill Ide

Bill learned from his mentor, former Attorney General Griffin Bell, the art of restoring trust when crisis strikes an organization. By conducting an independent investigation which produces the facts and any needed remediations with full communication to stakeholders and influencers an organization is able to move forward. For decades, he has successfully applied those skills for public companies including Fortune 100 clients, private companies, universities, global not-for-profits, school districts and quasi-governmental entities. Called “Board Doctor” by a client, Bill also takes his learnings from curing root causes during a crisis to the preventive side of helping boards anticipate and mitigate new risks. Bill believes that the evolution from the crisis eras of Enron to the Dodd-Frank global financial meltdown to 2020’s demands concerning stakeholder not shareholder value, climate change, racial inequality, pandemic reforms, etc. present transformational governance challenges which business must meet leading by example through thoughtful self-regulation designed to build trust with the societies it serves. An entity’s siloed compliance, cyber, privacy and regulatory systems must be bound together by a holistic culture of trust building that drives all decision-making.

Listed skills include Corporate Governance, Courts, Litigation, Corporate Law, and 23 others.
