Founder/ManagerCommon Grounds Coffeehouse Jan 1996 - May 1998Gainesville, FlAlong with a fellow coffeehouse enthusiast, I launched this bohemian coffee joint which began as a place for a motley mix of insomniacs, students pulling all-nighters, and the otherwise nocturnally-inclined subculture living in the town to gather together, drink beer/coffee/tea, listen to music and watch the owners simultaneously perform re-enactments of kung-fu battles and brew some delightful espresso concoctions. Common Grounds offered a truly unique destination for its customers and became one of the most popular venues for indie entertainment in central Florida.
