I worked as a Senior Associate with PwC in Christchurch for 3.5years. PwC is the largest professional services firm in New Zealand, employing over 1,000 staff and with seven offices across the country.I was in the financial assurance team; planning and leading audit engagements around New Zealand.My clients and experience included:-Leading the audit of a retail company listed on the NZX50 with $350million annual turnover-Travelling to the United States on multiple occasions for the audit of a subsidiary of a leading electronics and communications company.-Audit of a financial services company that provided trustee services and investment in managed funds-Planning and leading the audits of a number of not-for-profits, privately owned business' and schools around New ZealandMy clients were from a variety of different industries including retail, financial services, manufacturing, education and professional services and I have worked on the audits of companies based in Australia, North America and Europe. In this role I was required to report directly to partners and client senior management in order to meet deadlines, while managing and coaching junior staff. I was involved closely in the financial reporting process with a number of my clients and provided recommendations to improve on their systems and procedures.Moreover, I identified opportunities where PwC could provide further services to benefit our clients, leading to additional fees.
