Established in 1959, Animal Welfare League QLD (AWLQ) works with local councils, state government, rescue groups and the community to improve the outcomes for stray and surrendered pets. We are renowned for our unique and inventive programs, initiatives and rehoming strategies.My role as Programs Administration, Emergency Boarding, Website & CRM Coordinator at AWLQ is a fun, fast-paced and varied role consisting of the following tasks that keeps me on my toes at all times:• Lead Salesforce Administrator and daily maintenance of supporter information and bulk importing from external databases. Preparing EDM/DM distribution lists for upcoming campaigns, daily reporting, training and preparing documentation for staff.• Coordinating the AWLQ emergency boarding program, which sees the liaison with local hospitals, caseworkers and members of the community to help keep people and their pets together during difficult times.• Coordinating the AWLQ & National Desexing Network (NDN) websites.• Administration for the AWLQ regular giving program, "Promise Keepers", which sees our generous donors give on a monthly basis and allows and enables AWLQ to fulfil their zero euthanasia "promise" for all healthy, sociable or treatable animals.• Project Lead on CRM database migration project which saw AWLQ implement a brand new CRM, which rolled data from the four current databases into a singular supporter record management platform that could be used for fundraising, campaigns and AWLQ programs.

Voiceless is an independent, non-profit animal protection group, whose work is focused on raising awareness and education of animals suffering in factory farming and the kangaroo industry in Australia.My role at Voiceless was incredibly rewarding, which allowed me to gain invaluable experience and knowledge of factory farming in Australia and around the world. Some of my duties included:• Responding to supporter enquiries via phone, mail and email. Assisting supporters with the update of contact details, fundraising/donor transactions or general enquiries about animal welfare and rights issues.• Maintaining and updating our large CRM and EDM databases by ensuring that recurring cleansing tasks are regularly taken to safeguard against spam and redundant emails and accounts.• Maintaining the Voiceless website including content, updates and on-going amendments.• Administration of Voiceless’s Grants Program and Media Prizes. Ensuring that Voiceless Grantrecipients receive the necessary paperwork and following up where needed to adhere to reportingperiods within the terms and conditions.• Organisation, administration and planning of Voiceless events such as the annual Voiceless Law Lecture Series, Rethinking lectures and Voiceless Awards. Being the first point of contact forattendees and liaising with venues, third-party companies/contractors and volunteers.

The annual Cruelty Free Festival showcases the groups giving a voice to animals, alongside inspiring advocates and innovative businesses creating inspiration and options for vegan and cruelty-free living!• Management of all activities, performances and staff for the main stage at the annual event.• Liaising with artists, MCs and AV crew.• Supervision of 5 support crew.• Scheduling run sheet and coordinating events, performers and crowds at the main stage.• Networking with animal protection organisations and environment agencies for interviews with on main stage.• The Cruelty Free Festival attracts over 4000 attendees annually and all profits go directly to Animal Liberation NSW, to continue the fight for the protection of animals in Australia. The festival aims to raise the profile of animal welfare and environmental protection organisations in NSW, by allowing them to contribute to a growing trend of conscientious living lifestyles.

Animal Liberation NSW's mission is to permanently improve the lives of all animals through legislation, consumer advocacy, action, and humane education.I thoroughly enjoyed and gained invaluable experience during my voluntary role at Animal Liberation. I am still involved with the amazing work that Animal Liberation carry out being a current Voting Member. Some of my duties included:• Assisting with the membership database management and contacting supporter's whose annual memberships were due for renewal.• Creation of Animal Liberation’s 40th Anniversary video where footage from the last 40 years ofactivism was edited into a short film and premiered at Animal Liberation's 40th Anniversary celebration night.• Current Voting Member.
