Provided professional data consulting services for the Logistics and Entertainment industries. For the logistics client, we implemented a real-time messaging solution based on SQL Service Service Broker that allowed for real-time analytics to be performed against mainframe data. We developed Power BI reporting to expose the health metrics of the messaging. We built additional reporting and data collection against ServiceNow and JIRA sources to support the client's corporate needs. Finally, we used a metadata development approach to automate the generation of SSIS packages, tables, stored procedures, functions, CLR methods and the Service Broker components through the use of Azure Functions backed by Azure storage.For the Entertainment industry client, we starred in "Data Warehouse Rescue." We turned around a failing data warehouse project. We fixed the data model to support the business needs. We implemented best practices to minimize data movement (DTU) within their Azure Database. Daily processing time reduced from 72+ hours to 3. Corrected the DAX formulas in their Power BI model. Reworked the snowflake pattern into a star model.

As a managed solution partner, we worked with businesses to identify their problems and solve them.We were brought in by a wholesaler to provide insight to their customers on retail pricing opportunities: items customers were selling that were above/below the suggested retail price. We used Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Power BI to ingest source data to Azure Data Lake, consolidate daily files to parquet format, transform and normalize data across the layers following the medallion architecture. The Power BI solution provided regional summaries, detailed store analysis, and an "Easy Button" export to true up item pricing.We were brought on by a logistics (crew transportation) client to replace their existing IT staff. We successfully retired their on-prem data center, which required 24x7 up time but was not staffed for it, in favor of a multiphase Azure migration. Legacy console apps were either migrated to Azure Functions or reworked to run in an Azure VM until they're deprecated or rewritten as a Function. The SQL Server was lifted to an Azure SQL Server Managed Instance. We've automated integrations between their HR SAAS provider and internal resource provisioning (Jira, Azure AD/Entra, fuel card, etc,), between their in device GPS provider, fuel card provider, third party customer request portals. Work with the finance teams to resolve invoicing discrepancies.For a different logistics (LTL) client, we delivered a solution that enabled real-time, approximately 130 milliseconds, analytics of their mainframe based data. This allowed them to assess the viability of data sources without writing specific data access code. Solving client needs with the full MS BI stack.Along with our Architect and our Cube Wizard, we built a data warehouse solution to populate a Human Resources cube (tabular). We sourced data from a PeopleSoft implementation along with file feeds from their time tracking, budgeting, contractor and costing systems to deliver insight into employment data as well as satisfy BLS reporting needs. Specifically, I was responsible for the ETL (SSIS 2012, C# and Biml) side of the operations as well as build and deployments, some data modeling, and documentation of the policies and procedures for doing so. In the next phase of the project, we delivered insight into the operational data providing basic KPIs to management. In the final phase, I continued using Biml to generate the SSIS packages and build the tabular cubes to support revenue management activitiesAdditionally, I've worked with clients on smaller projects. One client I helped them address basic performance issues in addition to migrating them onto a SAN. For another client, I was part of a team that demonstrated the capabilities of PowerPivot, PowerView, Power Query and Power Map.
