About Bill Kinnelly

After several years in executive product roles at fintech vendors, I established KGA Advisory 10 years ago serving fintech vendor clients (both incumbent and emerging) about their struggles executing 2-5x growth strategies. Clients include fintech vendors like Fiserv, Finastra, ACI, Transactis, and Bridgeforce Data Solutions, to name a few. KGA is an active member of the Association for Financial Technology (AFT).Each client has a well-designed strategy for growth but is frustrated with its inability to execute the strategy. They engage my firm, KGA, to provide proven methods and best-practices to overcome the two root-causes of missing their growth milestones, namely, focusing too little on the buyers' needs, and focusing too much on the software. So, KGA clients find themselves executing via the tactic of “let’s invest a little, sell a few, and figure the rest out later” which yields a handful of expensive, one-off dealsThe inhibitors to growth execution can include any part of the business; we have ways to address these. By way of example (there are many more):• Product Packaging: most buyers – other than the biggest – don’t want to buy something on the basis of “you can have anything you want that we have”• Client Onboarding: the IS the first impression the client gets and word travels fast if it’s slow or complex• Product Innovation: the day after go-live the client calls to say “you promised me innovations…when can I get them…and I’m not paying for the”…the conversation never gets better• Partnerships: most vendors end up with a portfolio of partners that are producing little and new ones are being established every day in the pursuit of one deal.As one example of KGA client success, a leading provider of financial crime solutions struggled for two years to get a cloud product to mid-market banks, so it lost competitive traction. KGA showed them how to bring 4 products to market and close 5 deals, within 9 months. We'll diagnose your situation & suggest improvements in a 30 minute call. Contact us today (Kinnelly@KGAAdvisory.com, +1 848-888-2823, www.kgaadvisory.com) Expertise includes wholesale payments, biller-direct, financial crime, merchant processing, cards, ACH, wires, real-time payments, collections, fraud, AML/KYC, issuers & lenders, and more

Defined multiple whole-products with simplified business models that have penetrated new markets and provided a methodology they can apply in additional markets.• NICE ACTIMIZE struggled for two years to get a cloud version of its financial crime products to its down-market, so it lost competitive traction. Within 9 months, we brought 4 products to market and closed 5 deals, establishing the client as a market-leader in that segment.• FISERV introduced a payments product in the mid-size and small-buyer market segments. Deals were encouraging but delivery struggled for lack of a standard, non-customizable product. In 6 months, KGA profiled the target-buyers’ needs, designed a repeatable, scalable whole-product to meet those needs, and specified the initiatives required to execute the design.• TRANSACTIS sought to extend its electronic bill presentment and payment product capabilities to provide a new source of profitable growth. Defined whole-product and software features, developed industry relationships, and pricing algorithms. Firm thereafter acquired by MasterCard.
