I am currently a librarian in the History department at the Adriance Memorial Library in Poughkeepsie, NY. Having access to archival material, creating projects, and working with my colleagues to assist patrons, has been a fulfilling experience for me. There are so many ways to develop professional and creative skills in an environment such as this one. The convergence of standard research methods with new technology makes our work consistently fascinating.I had previously worked as a Digital Preservation Specialist for over two years at Hudson Archival Inc. As well as digitally photographing client archives, I’d assisted in the restoration of maps, blueprints, and other rare documents. Transportation and logistics have always been a part of my career resume. I’ve put these talents to use by transporting clients archives to and from the on-site storage facilities within Hudson Archival. History and its preservation are important to me. I am committed to providing help for the dissemination and knowledge of historical artifacts, and to aid anyone who would like to utilize them. I completed my MLIS through Syracuse University, with a strong emphasis on collections and user accessibility. During my years in the travel industry, I was privileged to explore internationally and throughout the United States. I’ve tried to absorb as much local culture and history from the places I’d visited and will hopefully continue to do so.
