Revamped courses on scaled Agile, transformation boot camp, product ownership, estimating, DevOps, project management, Kanban, Agile Testing, and technical practices. Trained over 300 people with simulation and courseware gaining average instructor feedback of of 4.5 out of 5.

As an internal coach in the Healthcare IT industry, fostered Enterprise Agile Adoption with classes, coaching, community, and assessments. Trained over 750 people saving $120,400. Created the Agile Journey Index and used it to assess and coach over 71 teams Worked closely with distributed teams. Deployed the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to three programs and Agile release trains with over 200 people. Gained ICAgile Expert Coaching certification, and used those skills to mentor new coaches as part of their formal application process.

As an Agile Coach at IBM we took agile from maverick to mainstream.In the beginning IBM was unware and reluctant to look at newer practices. I co-led a team of consultants across all divisions to research better practices and make them happen.I taught over 800 IBMers from 3 divisions our 2 day disciplined agile course, covering Scrum, RUP, and Lean. I wrote web content and led our Agile at IBM wiki which has 2,500 visitors per month. I created our internal IBM Agile forum, and and was the 2nd highest contributor (which had over 1,800 postings in one year). I led a community of Unit Test / TDD practitioners, and taught 2 day courses covering xUnit, refactoring, and patterns. We practiced what we preached - and used Scrum to manage our team's work. Consulted with a dozen individual teams on using agile both in small team and large distributed enterprise projects.

Delivered 7 releases on schedule of IBM's XML Servlet Eclipse based console toolkits. Served in developer, test lead, and component developer lead roles. Conducted a joint study with NC State University to research and apply new industry best practices. Improved quality by a factor of two and productivity by 30%. Participated in IBM's corporate wide process and quality improvement task force and contributed my knowledge of code metrics, Rational XDE Tester, JUnit, pair programming, and Unit Test topics. Participated Fraunhofer e-workshops on Agile Development and Pair Programming with key industry figures. Developed code using Java, JavaScript, DHTML, Ant, JSP, and XML, in Websphere, Portal, and PocketPC PDA environments using Tivoli's WCL widget library.

Led a team to develop C++ code for Windows and OS/2 to interface with scanner and printer hardare. Worked with customers to resolve critical situations. Served as liason with other companies to develop positive partnerships and integrate their solutions. Presented talks on Java performance at our local Java Mentor Series. Developed software to model microprocessor pipeline performance. Analyzed code fragments to find hotspots for study for applications on Mac OS, AIX, and NT. Worked with team members across locations and companies to gather and share trace information. Worked with vendors to optimize DSP math libraries.

Led a team to deliver four releases of windows based client software on both the VM and MVS server platforms written in C'. Worked with localization team to translate our product into national languages. Coordinated work of team members across functional areas including usability, performance, technical writers, localization, development and test. Worked with IBM Germany to receive enhancements to host server code.

Led team of IBM'ers and contractors to improve performance of a one million line of code OS/2 application by a factor of four. Identified and facilitated techniques to reduce system resource requirements and tune memory segment management. Wrote performance specifications and test plans. Developed measurement methodologies and tools and used them to benchmark product performance. Analyzed performance of our product's database engine. Analyzed Client Server application bottlenecks using Sniffer network traces, traces of operating system APIs, and memory snapshots. Developed a tool to track presentation manager window usage. Worked with test, development, and other IBM labs to fix system level bugs including resource leaks.

Served as change team programmer for IBM's APL based products including Info Center/1, ADRS2, and APLDI. Introduced code inspections. Transferred the products to the IBM Nordic Lab in Sweden during a one year international assignment.

Developed code in an intern role for both IBM Boulder and the City of Albuquerque.
