I support organizations in the deep tech sector, help individuals pursue legacy projects of deep personal meaning, and honor my own creative ambitions in writing, music and theater.On deep tech: I published the "Deep Tech Playbook" in 2024 and help run programs on venture creation for leading global universities like INSEAD. (Want to create a program for your university? Get in touch!) In the early 1980s (yeah, I’m that old), I was working on lasers for space defense and fusion energy. I authored Wall Street's first research report on all-optical networking, then led the photonics program for a leading Silicon Valley venture firm. I helped create INSEAD’s award-winning Sci-Tech Accelerator in 2013, where I've run courses on startup creation and fundraising. I’m currently co-managing an INSEAD program with CERN and the European Space Agency. Recent engagements have taken me to Africa and Asia.
