Serving as Michels Corporation’s Director of DOT Operations and Corporate Security allows me to use my experience and skills to benefit one of the largest, most diversified utility contractors in North America. I have been providing leadership and guidance to the company’s DOT and security operations since 2006. During that time, the company and my responsibilities have grown tremendously. I routinely draw upon the security and training expertise I developed during my three decades of law enforcement work. I am a past Director of the National Association of Field Training Officers Wisconsin chapter, Field Training Program Coordinator, and past President of Fond du Lac County Law Enforcement Executives Association. Some of my professional highlights include:- Graduate of the first session of The Criminal Justice Executive Development Institute- Worked with U.S. Secret Service to provide security for visits from President George Bush, President George W. Bush, Vice President Al Gore, Sen. Bob Dole, General Vang Pau and James Earl “Chip” Carter.- Certifications: Evidence Technician, Firearms Instructor (revolver, semi-automatic pistol, transition trainer, shotgun)- Tactical unit commander, motor unit member and honor guard member- Recipient of two life saving awards, an outstanding arrest award and two unit citations
