As the Global Therapeutic Head of Neuroscience for Janssen Research & Development, I lead a talented team working together to continue to discover and develop important new therapies for people living with brain disorders. (2014)Responsibilities included:-Drug discovery and Development, Pharmacology-Out-licensing and Research Collaborations, Business Development-Development Team Leader for CNS therapeuticSummary: Led team of scientists in Discovery projects for multiple therapeutic areas, including respiratory disorders, cardiovascular and neuroscience which contributed to identification of six Development Candidates. Executed cardiovascular research collaboration with Merck for total deal value of $148M. Led New Project identification team for 5 years during which I was responsible, in collaboration with commercial and the Research Leadership Team, for research portfolio planning, scenario mapping as well as identifying project-enabling technologies and research collaborations. Served as Neuroscience Therapeutic Area Group Leader and Phase 2 Project Team Leader for a novel CNS therapeutic (TD-9855).

Department of PharmacologySummary: Established in vivo pharmacology group to support ion channel-related drug discovery. Lab contributed to identification of four Development Candidates. Author of IND and co-chair of Early and Product Development Teams responsible for advancing novel sodium channel blocker into clinical development. Represented Rahway site on Neuroscience Coordinating Committee and served on Neuroscience and Urology Review and Licensing Committees. Represented Merck Research Labs (MRL) the Diversity Worldwide Business Strategy Team and selected as one of ten from MRL in 2004 to participate in Corporate Business Leadership Program.
