As an entrepreneur, inventor, and innovator, I have been involved in many business ventures. As the son of lint roller inventor Nicholas McKay founder of Helmac/Evercare in 1956, innovation runs in my blood. Growing up In the lint roller industry, I was exposed to essential business functions (marketing, sales, finance, HR, operations, R&D, IT, customer service, legal, strategic management) at a very young age. Combining this with problem solution thinking I am empowered to move swiftly once I identify a problem, solution and white space. The introduction of my innovations, the "Big Roll" and the "Surgical Prep Mitt," marked a permanent transformation in these lint roller businesses forever.Milestones and Start-Ups:Hotel Amenity: Turn-key creation development and manufacturing of a complete line of private label products that solved problems associated with personal care for hotel guests. Exit: Hunter International Pet Care: Turn-key creation development and manufacturing of a complete line of shed and odor care products to solve problems associated with pet ownership. Exit: Sumitomo Corporation of America/Hartz Defense Logistics Agency Contracting (Desert Storm Build Up): Turn-key creation, development and manufacturing of a line of personal care products to support troops in the battlefield. Exit: 5 mos post contract award, 15mm units shipped under extreme time constraints. Currently: I am working on 2 early stage ventures: HOA DOCTOR Turn-key creation, development and deployment of a platform that utilizes powerful AI technology to solve compelling problems associated with homeownership in HOA’s. Launch: Q 4 2024Mysa Hair Towels created, patented and developed to solve problems associated with guest hair care and laundry costs in the Hospitality Industry.
