About Bill Mcnett

Bill McNett is a veteran, multidisciplined stage technician in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. He has worked in many behind the scenes roles, supporting hundreds of artists from Arlo Guthrie to Michael W. Smith, and countless others. He has also worked on many live recording projects including Grammy nominated "Acoustic Live", by Nils Lofgren. Mainly a monitor engineer (McLean Bible Church, The Barns at Wolf Trap, etc.), Bill has also run front of house in venues ranging from small nightclubs and restaurants to large opera halls, concert venues and churches, seating thousands across the United States. Bill is also a competent and talented lighting engineer and designer, who has worked for many area theatres and most recently, as the lighting designer in the main auditorium at McLean Bible Church. His lighting work has also been seen regularly in the chamber concert series "the Discovery Series" at the Barns at Wolf Trap during his tenure there. Additionally, Bill has excellent scenic carpentry and stage electrics skills. As the technical intern manager, and later as the Chief Electrician for the Wolf Trap Opera Company (WTOC), he was responsible for the training and ongoing safety of the WTOC technical interns in both the scene shop and on all electrics calls for the WTOC.Bill also enjoys all aspects of artist hospitality, from the stage door, to the green room, to backstage and beyond. Born and raised in N.W. Washington D.C. and currently residing in Columbia MD, Bill's passion is to enhance an artist's performance experience by providing the utmost in support both on and off the stage.Bill is not currently seeking full-time or freelance opportunities in support of performing artists in the D.C./Baltimore area or elsewhere, and currently adds a dynamic and hardworking presence to the staff of The National Presbyterian Church in Washington D.C.
