Comedy (mostly writing and some performing) has been a part-time avocation since 2003, and now that I've retired from the corporate world I'm spending more time on the comedy endeavors. Jay Leno used more than 30 of my current event jokes in his Tonight Show monologue. I also write jokes for other well known performers as well as speeches, comedy sketches and humorous essays. I perform stand-up at comedy clubs and special events, with a focus on the trials and tribulations of aging. I'm still available for corporate consulting in strategic planning. My corporate career, primarily in the automotive supplier industry, started in an engineering role, grew into engineering management, progressed into strategic planning, and then expanded into business development, with a focus on developing business systems and coporate alliances to support corporate strategies.Some key corporate accomplishments:1. Developed a process to guide strategic planning teams and ensure that Goals and Issues were clearly understood, and that Strategies and Action Plans were effective and robust.2. Developed a strategic plan for a major automotive supplier which defined the driver-vehicle interface as a core expertise and thereby created a new, global brand image for the company.3. Designed and managed the development of a global, internet-based system to track, analyze and manage all booked and targeted business.4. Led the creation of several technology agreements and joint ventures which involved French, Korean and Japanese companies.
