This engagement marked my entry into the oil & gas industry as a Mechanical/Piping/Process design engineer. Over the course of 27 years, I moved into Project Engineering, Project Management and finally Manager of Projects, wherein I supervised Project Managers executing projects for domestic and international oil & gas clients. Projects focused on upstream oil & gas development, pipelines, product storage and transportation systems. Projects were executed for clients in Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Chad, Cameroon, Yemen, Sharjah, Iraq, Canada and the US. I managed the largest project ever undertaken by Gulf Interstate, the Yemen Masila Project, with a staff approaching 400 personnel, located in Houston, Calgary, London, Dubai and Yemen. I also managed the first commercial carbon sequestration project in the US, transporting waste CO2 from a coal gasification plant North Dakota to an oilfield in Saskatchewan.
