The Project Management Group for Gulf Interstate consisted of about 25 Project Managers and Project Engineers who managed the projects performed by the Operations unit of the Company. Managed the design, procurement and construction management team for Swift's oil & gas surface facilities in Texas and Louisiana. My team was consistently successful, as noted below: 1) Planning and executing 80 to 130 projects annually, with capital budgets ranging from $30,000,000 to $60,000,000 2) Safely executing primarily "brownfield" projects, which posed significant risks to personnel safety and operational integrity. 3) During my tenure, we completed 97% of our projects within budget and 99% on schedule. 4) During my tenure, we achieved >1,200,000 hours worked without a "Lost Time Accident". 5) My team spearheaded new and effective implementation of automation and telecommunications in the oil field, achieving significant success in reducing operating costs, while improving reliability. 6) We implemented a risk-based property insurance analysis, which saved Swift $2,000,000 in premiums

In so doing, I oversaw the complete operation of both business units, including: 1) Recruiting and resource planning, 2) Business development and proposal development, 3) Customer management and customer relations (clients were located in the US, Canada, South America, Russia, Africa, Europe and China) 4) Contract negotiations and risk management, 5) Contract compliance, 6) Staff technical training & professional development, 7) Profit & loss management and accountability, 8) Budgeting and strategic planning, 9) Quality control and improvement. Accomplishments during my tenure included: 1) Increased annual revenue by 300% in less than three years, 2) Expanded staff six-fold in three years, 3) Expanded market penetration into Western Europe, South America and Russia, 4) Led development of business plan for servicing Unconventional Oil & Gas market in US.

This engagement marked my entry into the oil & gas industry as a Mechanical/Piping/Process design engineer. Over the course of 27 years, I moved into Project Engineering, Project Management and finally Manager of Projects, wherein I supervised Project Managers executing projects for domestic and international oil & gas clients. Projects focused on upstream oil & gas development, pipelines, product storage and transportation systems. Projects were executed for clients in Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Chad, Cameroon, Yemen, Sharjah, Iraq, Canada and the US. I managed the largest project ever undertaken by Gulf Interstate, the Yemen Masila Project, with a staff approaching 400 personnel, located in Houston, Calgary, London, Dubai and Yemen. I also managed the first commercial carbon sequestration project in the US, transporting waste CO2 from a coal gasification plant North Dakota to an oilfield in Saskatchewan.
