Bill Mosher is an award-winning writer, seasoned documentary filmmaker, accomplished landscape artist and an emerging sculptor. At 28-years-old, without any formal training as a writer, he founded a small town weekly newspaper where he won prestigious awards in investigative reporting and feature writing . In 1992, after a stint as a international freelance writer, he started his first television series , Worldscape, hosted by Walter Cronkite. The series was designed to inspire young artists to paint directly from nature. Although Mosher had never taken a course in filmmakingor worked in the industry, the series was picked up by more than 100 PBS stations in the United States and remained on the air for more than a decade. Mosher learned how to paint while producing the series. In 1993, Mosher founded Visionaries, a non-profit organization dedicated to using the power of media to inspire positive social change. The main focus of the organization has been the production of the Visionaries television series, hosted by actor Sam Waterston of Law and Order. Over the last dozen years, the series has become one of the most acclaimed non-profit media projects in the world, having produced more than 140 documentaries in 50 countries around the globe. Bill Mosher lives on Cape Cod with his wife Christine, a social worker, his daughter Michelle and son Mike.
