Bill is an experienced leader and board member with an extensive background in privacy, cybersecurity, technology, and regulatory compliance. Bill currently serves as Data Protection Officer, Assistant General Counsel, and Director, Privacy & Regulatory at iCIMS, Inc., where he leads the teams responsible for understanding, managing, and reducing global legal and compliance risk in the areas of: * Data privacy and strategy* Cybersecurity* Artificial intelligence* Technology and commercial transactions* Data governance* Corporate regulatory matters* M&APrior to serving in his current role, Bill was Associate Counsel, Director of Compliance and Data Privacy Officer at EBSCO Industries, Inc. At both organizations, he was responsible for compliance with global data privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity laws and regulations, including the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and Data Privacy Framework, and China’s PIPL. Prior to his time at iCIMS and EBSCO, he was in private practice at Baker Donelson where he provided strategic business and legal advice to his clients on similar matters. Bill holds a Juris Doctorate from The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in finance and economics from the University of Tennessee.
