Krios Consulting started as a natural outgrowth of the work of company president Bill Palladino during his years in public broadcasting management. As a long-time manager of several public radio stations and media facilities, Palladino was often called upon for technical and managerial advice by his peers around the country. This led to the formation of a separate company, which eventually morphed into Krios Consulting.Palladino reformed Krios Consulting to stretch beyond broadcasting and into a broader definition of management and leadership consulting. For fifteen years the company offered coaching, strategic planning, meeting facilitation, and public speaking as the bulk of its efforts.Since 2006 Krios has been a partner in another business, ITLN, based in Cary, NC. This strategic partnership provides both companies with generous advantages. Krios Consulting is involved with creating and growing several training products, including programs on positive psychology, Innovation, and Change Management, from authors Shawn Achor, Chris Trimble, and John Kotter, respectively.

The International Thought Leader Network set its sights on creating a company that could provide leadership training and corporate education focused on Change Management, Innovation, and Employee Performance/Retention. The concept uses close partnerships with business thought leaders to create dynamic and impactful learning strategies.Bill has worked closely with positive psychology researcher Shawn Achor and his team to develop and deliver, workshops, coaching, and strategy in support of The Happiness Advantage and Orange Frog programs. The workshop teaches the knowledge and skills that allow businesses and organizations of all types to see the benefits of positive psychology in the workplace. Bill rejoined the ITLN team in 2017 after a five-year assignment as CEO of a Michigan-based marketing consulting agency. He has been involved with ITLN since its founding.

The GTFA supports the development of a sustainable and equitable food system. Since 2015, it has operated the Grand Traverse Food Innovation Hub, a collaborative food-manufacturing facility. Originally serving on the organization's board, Bill took on the roll of interim executive director during a time of transition.

Local Difference LLC is a social enterprise of the Groundwork Center for Resilient Communities. As a for-profit subsidiary of our nonprofit parent, our mission is to help farms, food businesses and the communities they serve realize the social and economic value of local food while making fresh, healthy, local food available to all. We help food businesses sell more local food. Our specialized marketing tools are designed to differentiate local food on store shelves. We also use digital and print media to connect consumers to the source of the food they buy.For its first decade of operation, TLD was funded through the Groundwork Center with grants and donations. Bill created a business model and a plan to relaunch the organization as a for profit LLC, acting as a social enterprise of the Groundwork Center with a revenue stream generated from the sale of advertising and license fees. In under four years, Bill grew the organization from serving 10 counties in northwest Michigan with 300 business partners to a statewide operation serving thousands of farms and food businesses. TLD is the recognized leader in marketing locally grown and made food in Michigan.The innovative, hybrid, business model created to operate Taste the Local Difference is the culmination of Bill's years of experience helping nonprofit and for-profit companies excel and advance in creative ways. TLD has since been sold to an investment firm and is now operated as a for-profit business.

Bill's staff role at The Groundwork Center, (formerly the Michigan Land Use Institute,) was originally intended as evaluative, to assess the Taste the Local Difference program. In 2012, Bill was TLD's only staff person. He rebranded and retooled TLD over the course of the next two years after identifying an opportunity to market local food across the state. In 2015, Bill rolled out TLD into a "social enterprise" of the Groundwork Center; a solely owned for-profit business. An investment firm has since purchased TLD and is now run as a for-profit entity.

Now named The Groundwork Center, Bill served on the board of directors of MLUI from 2009 through June 2012 with an emphasis on helping them with organizational structure and outcome metrics. Bill left the board in mid 2012 at the behest of the Executive Director so that he could hire on in a formal consulting role, and later as a staff member.

On the Ground is a global nonprofit organization providing support to the small farm communities who provide fair-trade goods to OTG partner businesses. The organization raises funds to build schools, hospitals, water systems and other infrastructure necessary to ensure the sustainability of these often impoverished communities.Bill Palladino took on the role of interim executive director when the organization planned for an international fundraising project, the Run Across Ethiopia. Bill was brought in to OTG to fundraise and to create an organizational structure to help OTG become a viable and thriving organization into the future.He successfully helped raise over $200,000 to build two schools in Ethiopia while managing a two-week running expedition across the African nation. Bill created an effective media strategy that engaged a regional audience and set the stage for On The Ground's future as a globally relevant nonprofit agency.

Bill was a founding partner of ISB Worldwide. He and his partners specialized in corporate learning management. ISB provided training, coaching, and consulting to all types of businesses using the ideas and concepts from the world's top thought leaders. ISB Worldwide authors and delivers training programs based on the work of John Kotter, Joel Barker, Keith Ferrazzi, Patrick Lencioni, Doug Hall, Mark Thompson and others. Change Management, Innovation, Leadership, Team Development, Process Improvement, Personality profiling. ISB was dissolved in 2010 when its parent company, the International Speakers Bureau, fell on hard times. A few months later the partners quickly reformed a similar, but more focused company, The International Thought Leader Network (ITLN) as a separate company which continues to this day.

Bill developed curriculum and provided training for products and services created by futurist Joel Barker including The Implications Wheel(R) and Strategy Matrix(R) tools. Palladino also used these tools as part of a comprehensive approach to leadership development and planning consultation.Bill used these tools in support of dozens of nonprofit, corporate, and government clients including NASA, The United States Army, Chrysler Corporation, Northwestern Michigan College, Rubbermaid, Proctor & Gamble, Rolls Royce Corporation, and RJG Corporation.

Bill led a team from the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments in taking on the role of regional host for the Small Business & Technology Development Centers in Northwest Michigan. He managed a remote staff with offices around the region, providing business consulting support services to businesses around Michigan. Bill's specialty was in getting agricultural businesses recognized in the state as leading sources of economic development and job creation. Bill partnered with chambers of commerce and tribal communities to establish trust-based relationships in the business community. He left the SBTDC in 2006 to create ISB Worldwide in Dallas, Texas with a group of partners.

Bill provided economic development support to counties and townships within the ten county area of Northwest Michigan. He provided economic development support to counties and municipalities in the region. He developed and authored the GrantStreet program for grant-writing education.Authored numerous articles and publications regarding economic development, business development, agriculture, manufacturing, and the New Economy.Palladino provided a strong community presence for the agency by being a leading public figure, speaking on relevant matters, providing presentations, and sitting on numerous advisory boards.

Bill provided grant writing and government document consulting services to nonprofits and businesses, specializing in broadcast technologies and later in environmental emergency response planning. In 2001, after moving to Traverse City, Michigan, this business changed its name to Krios Consulting. During this same time period, he also operated a bed & breakfast and a restaurant/pub on the island.

Bill was general manager for this flagship community radio station in the Twin Cities. He was instrumental in providing a professional atmosphere and sense of mission to a previously loosely run organization. And in moving the station to a more suitable home in the city's West Bank area. Bill was Executive Producer for KFAI's first nationally distributed program "Little City in Space," and landed continuing funding for station programming from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

I ran the gamut at MPR through a five or so year tenure. Tried hard to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up in public radio. A lot of growing pains along the way. Not sure if I ever got there, but enjoyed every minute. Started at KCCM in Moorhead as morning anchor/arts producer. Then moved to St.Paul to take on a role as operations engineer where I performed many duties including running studio equipment for broadcast programming. Also recorded remote concerts of SPCO and the Minnesota Orchestra and many others. Worked as portable satellite uplink engineer, driving and operating a C-Band uplink truck for remote broadcasts of A Prairie Home Companion and many other programs.Later worked as stage manager and audio engineer on Good Evening with Noah Adams. It was a good run. One of the best jobs I ever had, where I met some of the best friends of my life.

Provided support services inside and outside the IA facilities to electronic media artists. Managed the IA Electronic Arts Gallery in downtown Minneapolis.
