Tried hard to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up in public radio. A lot of growing pains along the way. Not sure if I ever got there, but enjoyed every minute. Started at KCCM in Moorhead as morning anchor/arts producer. Then moved to St.Paul to take on a role as operations engineer where I performed many duties including running studio equipment for broadcast programming. Also recorded remote concerts of SPCO and the Minnesota Orchestra and many others. Worked as portable satellite uplink engineer, driving and operating a C-Band uplink truck for remote broadcasts of A Prairie Home Companion and many other programs.Later worked as stage manager and audio engineer on Good Evening with Noah Adams. It was a good run. One of the best jobs I ever had, where I met some of the best friends of my life. -
