With over 30 years of experience primarily in remote television production engineering and satellite communications, Bill has proven himself to be a consummate broadcast professional, technical manager, and troubleshooter. Bill began his career as a satellite newsgathering truck technician and manager providing transmission services to clients around the world. Bill has experience covering everything from live sports backhauls, to multi-path breaking news events of large scale events, as well as natural and man-made disaster coverage. Bill continued his career as an Engineer-in-Charge on large-form production (OB) trucks where he managed the technical needs of various national, international, and regional television stations and networks, primarily in the professional sports and entertainment realms. After 25+ years traveling the country, Bill gave up his frequent flyer status to direct engineering and operations within the dynamic Minnesota Senate Media Services department where he manages a small crew of dedicated technical staff and is working to upgrade equipment and capabilities within the legislative TV space. Bill is highly adaptable and able to perform well under pressure, able to quickly master new technologies, and can successfully anticipate client needs in an ever changing environment. Over the years, Bill has established outstanding and long-lasting relationships with freelance crews, broadcasters, manufacturers and other professionals within the field.
