Experienced 17-year leader in the banking industry with a demonstrated 23-year history of building relationships, mentoring young bankers, fostering creativity in solution, being decisive, and driving success. Skilled in Sales Management, Banker Development, Strategic Planning, Commercial Banking at the Middle Market and Business Banking level, Loan Structuring, Credit Analysis, and Team Building. Prior to joining the banking industry, a 10-year military career in the US Army provided an opportunity to work in a team environment, hone leadership skills, strategic planning, complex problem solving, and the importance of being decisive in the execution of a plan. Interestingly, the seemingly disconnected experiences have unique overlaps that serve well in nearly every aspect of being a leader in the banking industry. One example is my time at the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at SMU. In the 50-year history of the school; every class officer had to campaign and be elected; instead, my class elected me as Class President in a write in ballot and I was appointed Class President. It was a great honor to be selected by my peers and one of my life’s highlights.
