Regional Sales DirectorCiba-Geigy 1981 - 19951981-1984 I started my career in the pharmaceutical industry as a sales representative in Beverly Hills, CA.1984 - 1988 I was promoted to District Manager in Los Angeles. 1988-1988 I was promoted to Manager of Sales Training responsible for developing training programs for field bases and hospital representatives and district managers in the western region. 1989- 1991 I was promoted to National Director of Sales Planning and Promotion. I established and managed a new sales compensation plan for the sales force. I established the process of developing the call plans for the sales forces. My team of managers developed sales tools for the sales force: leave items, product videos used for dinner programs. They collaborated with the product teams to insure their strategies were consistent with the call plans. My teams were responsible for the logistics of all product launch meetings and sales planning and award meetings. All national and regional conventions were administered through my department. 1991-1993 I was promoted to Regional Director of the South West region Dallas, TX. My region, Summit Sales Force, was awarded the Presidents Club award in 2003 for leading the nation in market share for the combined product portfolio. Three of my seven DMs were later promoted to larger national roles.1994 upon restructuring and the closing of the Dallas and Atlanta sales office I left the company for 5 years.
