• Performed institutional and retail broker-dealer compliance coverage for newly expanded department at company headquarters covering the Operations and Financial Control Group divisions (7,000 employees globally) • Successfully managed global compliance for three of Morgan Stanley’s largest transactions: 1) Citi SmithBarney joint venture; 2) post-close Dean Witter broker-dealer merger; and, 3) the bank holding company conversion• Led quarterly review with COO and CFO to identify and report significant compliance issues and risks

• Responsible for creation and management of the Risk Management department reporting to the Chief Regulatory Officer• Primary SEC and NASD Amex contact for key risks, issues and new rules• Managed regulatory correspondence and onsite inspections with SEC, NYSE, FINRA and the NY Attorney General’s Office
