About Bill R. Lane

I am an Information Technology manager with a continuous improvement and organizational change background. I am responsible for all aspects of IT Department for the Library system. This includes planning, evaluating, implementing and supporting servers, storage solutions, backup systems, telecommunications systems, computers, networks and systems administration. I manage the day-to-day operations of the Computer Services and Network Services teams. I am responsible for the management, direction, and strategic planning of the IT department including budgeting and all personnel decisions. I also serve as the PCI Officer ensuring Payment Card Industry compliance using PCI SAQ's, self-analysis, and external penetration scanning. Most importantly, I lead changes in cultures and performance with true leadership. I have lead changes in multiple departments and companies that had low performance and low morale into high performing, high morale teams! This is achieved by understanding current state, determining your future state, careful planning, and establishing attainable, easy to handle goals.
