In June 2010, I became Facilities Manager for all our schools, responsible for planning, seeking approvals, and implementing maintenance, repair, and improvement projects at all 18 CEP sites.

My job as a developer/operator representative is to coodinate design and construction of our facilities to make sure they are constructed according to our operational needs. Also, to ensure all furniture, fixtures, and equipment is ordered and items placed in the facilities so that the operation of the schools starts correctly, on time, and on budget.

Construction Manager for Washington Group at the Saturn Plant in Spring Hill, TN. Represented the Body Systems Business Unit in design and construction of two large projects, 380,000 sf building and contents for new robotic body assembly lines and 450,000 sf building and contents for a AA-size crossbar transfer press, one of only 8 in the United States at that time; two quite interesting and very complex heavy construction projects.

My duties at this baked snacks (cookies and crackers) plant were many and varied, working in just about all departments, from bulk unloading of all ingredients to shipping finished goods. Project requests had to be very detailed with quick ROI's, and every major project was audited once complete.

My duties at this Quaker Oats pet food plant touched all departments, including facilities and utilities, material handling, processing, packaging, palletizing, and shipping. While there, we implemented a $20M addition of semi-moist processing equipment and controls to allow production of a new two-component dry/semi-moist dog food, without any loss of regular production.
