TurboBid is an electrical estimating software program that is designed to help all electrical contractors win more profitable business by providing them with a systematic process to identify all their costs, maximize crew productivity and improve their professional image.Please allow me to give you a little background about myself and TurboBid. I originally began developing TurboBid back in 2004 to use for my own electrical contracting company, Advanced Electrical Technologies. I had absolutely no intentions of creating an estimating program to sell. After all, I was, and still am, a union electrician. I wasn't some propeller head or corporate honcho trying to get into the estimating software business. I just needed a better way of estimating jobs. It seemed like all of the estimating programs that were available were only geared towards heavy commercial applications. They were all just way too difficult and not at all suitable for residential or light commercial jobs. However, as the program began to take shape, it was turning out so good that I figured that there had to be a lot of other contractors, like myself, that would love to have the program. After all, who else in their right mind would spend a small fortune in developing an estimating program just for their own company. That's when I decided to make TurboBid my primary business. To be honest with you, I absolutely love developing TurboBid. It's personally satisfying to know that my efforts are helping my electrician brothers live better and more prosperous lives.

Founder And CeoTurbobid Jan 2001 - PresentOur company was originally an electrical contracting company. We decided to develop TurboBid simply because we needed a better way to estimate our own jobs. The commercially available electrical estimating software programs were too complicated and didn't give us the bid package that we needed. At the time, we were using an Excel workbook and while it would get us in the ballpark, it took forever to put together our proposal, quantity take-offs and material kits. TurboBid turned out to be such a great program that we decided to market it to other contractors.
