CurrentBill has operational experience in gold and ferrous metals and resource modelling experience in many commodities. He has audited Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves for many commodities to international standards including the JORC Code, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Canadian NI 43-101 and South African SAMREC Code. He did his PhD on the Optimisation of Mining Grade Control and has a Master of Geoscience in Mineral Economics. Bill has done extensive volunteer work during his professional career. He is the Past President of the Australian Geoscience Council (AGC), and was a long-term member of the Australasian Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC), as well as being on the VALMIN and IMVAL Committees. He is a Past President of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AGC). He has written over 50 technical papers including many on developing the science of Mining Grade Control, Reconciliation and Ore Control. Previous experience includes the management of large mine evaluation projects, major Ore Reserve audits and delivery of Feasibility Studies. He has also had a number of strategic leadership roles in large organisations.Bill is a very experienced and internationally respected mining professional who is a world leader and well-regarded expert in the field of mining grade control. But that is not all that Bill does, his career has seen him in most types of mines in all parts of the world where he has been involved in project evaluation, feasibility studies, resource and reserve estimation, grade control, mine geology and (mining) operational improvement.
