Blueprint Interactions is a consultancy that was launched to help clients solve frustrating challenges within the areas of sales, marketing & customer experience.
The organization's mission is to make people's day a little brighter—specifically those in our local communities struggling with health and poverty issues.
During this time, we launched our new contact center. Results included: a better member experience, increased cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, a significantly reduced abandoned call rate, enhanced data capture and delivery of information through new technologies implemented, and more highly engaged and enthusiastic employees. All at a reduced cost to the organization. The success of the contact center also laid the foundation for future service delivery in branches.
Instead of hiring a VP from the outside, the organization promoted me into the position to handle various initiatives including, new member acquisition, retention and increasing value of existing members. In addition, I had the responsibility of helping architect and deploy various new products and services designed to improve the member experience, grow core deposits/loans and/or improve staff efficiencies.During this period, I also was given the unique opportunity to lead the transformation of member service delivery—starting with Proponent's contact center. For starters, I conceptualized, engineered and lead an 18-month phase-out for closing the NJ call center while simultaneously developing the North Carolina facility (where our new contact center would be located) all while maintaining business continuity. I also helped design and develop service blueprints to map out our desired customer experience for the most common call types. These blueprints helped build the foundation for delivering consistent experiences for members and prospects and later became instrumental in training process for on-boarding new agents. This exercise also helped better align and create synergy between various internal support areas and front-line employees.
Once our VP of Marketing left the company, I was given the opportunity to work more closely with senior people through meetings and various projects. That said, one of the first initiatives was internal rebranding of the our department—due to efforts from everyone on our team and the freedom to make decisions, we were able to significantly improve the overall perception of the department (based on internal service surveys).
During my first semester in grad school, I quickly landed a job with Proponent. I was initially hired to support the implementation and execution of Proponent’s new brand, including a name change (formerly HLR Federal Credit Union) as well as helping launch new promotions, which included internal communication and presentations.
Through a former colleague at IQPC, Pike & Fischer had reached out to me in need of a temporary event marketing consultant for a few of their conferences. Here I was responsible for generating attendance as well as initiating and managing strategic partnerships with external publications and associations to help increase credibility, generate additional exposure and reduce list rental expenditures. Our “Contracting w/ Homeland Security” conference generated over $100K in attendee revenue.
WGS was a small family-owned food distribution business that delivered various supplies—primarily spices and other ancillary products—to diners and restaurants in NJ. At WGS, I had first-hand experience in direct sales and client relationship building. During my brief tenure, we increased overall revenue by 13%.
In my first full-time position, I was responsible for generating attendance to various conferences and events (over 50 per year), primarily in the area of Human Resources via direct marketing. Fortunately, I had strong leaders that helped expedite my learning curve and build foundational skills—with just a few years of experience, I was able to help generate over $5.5 million in gross revenue and $1.3 million in net profit in 2000. Over time, I was given additional responsibilities, including training new marketing managers on list research, analyzing response history, segmentation, merge purge and vendor management.
