Bill Tingling is a remarkable altruist whose visionary leadership has been transforming society since his founding of School News Nationwide (SNN) in 1993. Determined to improve the lives of at-risk children and prescient about the power of technology to impact education, Bill implemented his concept of student-produced newspapers, magazines, and television broadcasts more than a decade before the practice became common. Bill’s results teaching his singular blend of inter-disciplinary studies and ethical living principles were so successful it enabled SNN to field a cadre of teachers who’ve successfully served thousands of students.

• Innovatively converted passenger buses into high-tech classrooms for teaching tolerance, empathy, compassion, and inclusion. • Retrofitted each bus with cutting-edge technology, holograms, artificial intelligence and state-of-the-art educational tools.• Promoted significance of understanding and tolerance among all peoples to avert future acts of inhumanity such as slavery, the Holocaust, and genocide.

• Presented with the highest New York State TASC Award for orchestrating project to promote understanding and goodwill between African Americans and the Jewish community nationwide and internationally. • Chronicled personal and individual stories from descendants of African American slaves and Holocaust survivors, and improved tolerance and respect of human dignity amongst all peoples.• Guided teen program participants in interviewing and filming Holocaust survivors and African American seniors for a special broadcast on national and international television channels.

• Spearheaded full-scope operations for non-profit media corporation offering excellence in print news/journalism, radio shows, documentaries, and television broadcasting.• Taught interdisciplinary studies and ethical living principles to teachers who served thousands of students in low-performing schools throughout New York City.• Led thousands of graduates to enter careers in law enforcement, education, business, social services, journalism, and entrepreneurship.
