Throughout my career I’ve focused on helping organizations clarify and align their core competencies, company strategy and culture toward a shared vision, while simultaneously transforming management teams into dynamic leaders. Building on my work with Boston University's Executive Challenge along with managing the Catalyst Team, I've created leadership programs that combine cutting-edge content with experiential learning and feedback assessments. The key differentiation with this approach is a relentless focus on closing the “knowing-doing gap,” tapping the wealth of existing knowledge and moving it towards action, rather than simply developing managers and executives for what is “best for the business.”I am as invigorated and passionate about this field today as I have ever been. A fascinating emergence is occurring across multiple disciplines and I get to play right in the middle of it! Cognitive science, behavioral economics, and computer science are converging with the fields of mindfulness, neuroscience and emotional intelligence. The result of this phenomenon is new, long-term, and remarkably effective leadership practices that help to grow leaders and align the organization to its culture and values. This alignment results in radically increased competitiveness, leadership growth, and improved insights about how to excel in various markets with unique customers.The future is exciting. I am currently developing coaching and leadership from an integral and developmental point of view that takes into consideration the stages of development and engages both the individual (I) and the collective (we) aspects of organizational development. I use a paradigm that looks for the interior drivers--what organizations value--and aligns these drivers with the exterior behaviors, systems, and policies that support and advance the desired mindset. This approach is critical in creating organizations that flourish and grow in today’s competitive and challenging landscape.
