As a teenager my first job was in retail. I worked as a Sales Associate at a Tuxedo Shop. I met a lot of great people and had a lot of fun. However, I knew one thing I didn't want a career in retail sales & management. So I go to college and study Computer Science. While in school I worked at a Department Store...once agin I said I didn't want to be in Retail. After a move to the Pacific Northwest. I soon realized the individuality of programming was not for me and switched to Finance.While completing my Finance degree I went to work at a Regional Mass Merchant in Operations....Once again..repeat after me "I am not going to work in retail my whole Life!" Fast forward I was convinced to go into Store Management..then Corporate Planning and Buying. I realized Retail is what I love!After a few moves I landed a role as Merchant in E-commerce. This opportunity allowed me to combine my love of retail, analytics, products, consumers and technology. Ecommerce showed immediate gratification. After 10 years I jumped at a opportunity to work for a manufacturer as the Director of eCommerce...I have found my career!!
