In 2011, Bill Vick was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). Three years later, he founded the PF Warriors support group as a way for patients to help other patients and families of those living with Interstitial Lung Diseases (ILD). After 25 years as a successful Executive Recruiter and a Fortune 500 executive, he became an entrepreneur and launched a chain of computer stores, a software company, a top 100 website, and helped take a software company public. He also closely follows developments in Technology, Video, Social Media, and technology bleeding edge with a focus on Marketing and Social Branding. However, his passion is helping businesses succeed, changing lives, and inspiring patients living with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Bill takes pride in serving in the USMC as a Force Recon Pathfinder. Since its founding in 2014, PF Warriors has grown into a global resource of over 4,000 members, addressing strategies for understanding and living with pulmonary fibrosis and other ILDs. Along with being a resource for publications and learning guides, the PF Warriors hold regular meetings and private online groups for members through support and their strong social media presence.My BackgroundI went from sales and marketing management with fortune 500 companies such as Revlon, Max Factor, and Helene Curtis, to the computer and software industries where I launched a chain of computer stores and participated in taking a software company public. I joined Management Recruiters International (MRI) in 1986 and was their National Rookie of the year in 1987. As an executive recruiter, I created a software company (SOLO) focused on software for recruiting and staffing firms and founded Recruiters OnLine Network (RON), a top 100 website. I sold my software business in 2002 and web businesses in 2010. My two published books, "LinkedIn for Recruiting: and "Big Biller" continue to be top sellers in the employment industry.I have been a founder and board member of the Pinnacle Society recognizing achievement in the staffing industry, a national speaker for NAPS, served on the Board of Directors of The Texas Association Staffing Services (TAPS), as well as a founder of the local Dallas Independent Recruiters Group (Now ESOA) and a lifetime member of the USMC Force Recon Association (FRA).
