Principal responsibilities include coordinating the management department, researching and teaching entrepreneurship, reaching beyond the school of business to impact the direction of individuals seeking to develop their entrepreneurial vision and spirit, and collaborating on entrepreneurship initiatives from across the university.Graduate courses taught at the University at Albany include Creativity and Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior and Managerial Skills, and New Venture Development Research (Master's theses). Undergraduate courses taught at the University at Albany include Introduction to Entrepreneurship as well as a course on social value creation or Social Entrepreneurship.

Responsible for shepherding cutting edge research on entrepreneurship. Focused on manuscripts exploring organization's entrepreneurial orientation and corporate entrepreneurship more broadly.

Principal responsibilities include conducting research on entrepreneurial topics, teaching entrepreneurship within the undergraduate and graduate management curriculum, and serving as faculty liaison and director of research for the Center for Entrepreneurship within the Showker College of Business. As an educator I've introduced a hands-on, experiential approach to teaching entrepreneurship which requires students to start and run businesses which earn a minimum of $200 in sales profit among other goals. The merits of this approach were featured in a “Bright Lights” spotlight on faculty innovation within Madison Magazine and awarded the 2012 College of Business, Kenneth Bartee Endowed Teaching Innovation Award. In 2014, I was selected as a Dean's Impact Award recipient for my scholarly efforts and classroom innovation.Undergraduate courses taught at James Madison University include Entrepreneurship, Management of Technology and Innovation, and Web Venturing and Entrepreneurship. Graduate teaching was focused on Entrepreneurship and Venture Creation.

During my visiting assistant professorship I taught courses in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Strategy, Business Organization and Management, as well as the senior-level capstone course focused on Strategic Management. I managed the development and launch of several small business enterprises within my course on entrepreneurship including KD energy bars. I was also responsible for the creation of an institutional wide speaker series on Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

In addition to continuing my research exploring the entrepreneurial behavioral orientations of individuals and organizations, I also worked to investigate the social, governmental, and industrial antecedents and effects of India’s growing telecommunication revolution.

I was part of a four person multidisciplinary team which explored the implications of various testing and evaluation methodologies for newly developed information technology based decision support systems. The goal of the research was to determine what steps are necessary to conclude that a given decision aid significantly improves a commanders decision-making effectiveness while avoiding the adverse unintended consequence of limiting his or her understanding of the situation (e.g., strategic blindspots, overconfidence in a limited set of potential courses of action, lack of adequate consideration of adversarial responses or long term effects, etc.).

During my internship with GE Power Systems, I completed a six sigma project considered sufficient to award the title of six sigma green belt. The project was an international information systems integration initiative to communicate forecasted gas and steam turbine spare parts production requirements. I designed a prototype database to consolidate, track, and distribute the production order requirements among the multinational supply chain partners.
