•As a Process Engineer in the Engineering Process Group, I create, improve and establish procedures, guidelines, templates and process flows that are used by all Edaptive Project Managers across the various Edaptive contracts.•As Configuration Manager I established the technical and administrative direction and surveillance for the management of configuration items (i.e., software, hardware, and documentation) associated with Edaptive Systems that are to be placed under configuration control and make sure CM policies are adhered to. The establishment of our CM policies led to Edaptive receiving it CMMI level III compliance grade. •As Release Manager for REMIS I am responsible for providing leadership to the program management team and other assigned staff. I provide support to external and internal customers regarding REMIS and all projects related to REMIS. I provide project input for statements of work. I coordinate activities with the Edaptive Security Team and manage the Annual Security Assessment for the REMIS application. I manage the development and maintenance of REMIS, using agile methodologies. I act as the Scrum Master for our team.

Baltimore, Maryland Area

•I was Project Manager on the Managed Account Billing System. This system was a highly customized vendor product that was hosted outside of Deutsche Bank. I was involved in all phases of the project from vendor selection, resource planning, budgeting, project scheduling, user requirements, and tracking all tasks on the project. Management of this project was being done in a matrix style environment. CMMI standards and procedures were used on this project. I held weekly project status meetings and prepared quarterly Steering Committee presentations for the business owners and the head of the IT department. I also managed the enhancements to the Collateral Operations Reporting System, the Broker Commissions System, and the Deutsche Bank Technology Roadmap.

Columbia, Maryland

•I managed 1 onshore team and 2 offshore teams of developers, designers and testers. I coordinated all phases of the SDLC across multiple teams, from requirements to production migrations. I successfully managed 3 technical releases, two of which were wholly developed by offshore teams based on requirements generated by the onshore staff. The third release was all done onshore. CMMI standards and procedures were used through all phases of these projects. The Portable People Meter is an electronic device about the size of a pager. This device is carried by selected participants and is used to collect and report radio station listening information back to Arbitron. This information is compiled and used by Arbitron, radio stations, and advertisers. This new device is replacing Arbitron’s diary system in the major radio station markets.

•Developed and tracked Asset Management Client Reporting application projects for internal and external clients.•Managed a development team of 4 Legg Mason employees and 3 consultants. Assisted in creating the Business Requirements and Functional Specification documents to be handed off to the developers. Ran weekly group status meetings to keep track of progress on the project plans.•Tracked and implemented software rollouts using Legg Mason’s proprietary change control process, which included coordination between the user community, Desktop Support, Networking, UNIX and DBA managers to insure smooth rollouts.•As a Client Reporting Project Leader, managed the design and implementation of financial client account statements as part of our Client Reporting Framework for internal and external business units. Developed Actuate coding procedures and standards that my group and new developers followed when coding with Actuate.•Demonstrated Legg Mason’s Client Reporting Framework to internal business units and external clients who were interested in implementing Actuate as an enterprise reporting solution; worked closely with the Actuate Account Representatives.•Reported system defects to Actuate support staff, tracked their progress in developing solutions, and coordinated and scheduled all Actuate upgrades.•Presented a seminar in November 1999 at the Actuate International User’s Conference detailing how Legg Mason implemented Actuate as its enterprise reporting solution.

•As a Cross Team Project Lead, Bill synchronized three separate application data models to conform to one logical and physical data model, a project requiring knowledge of the business and legacy applications within Bell Atlantic.•Converted client requirements into usable software designs. Produced application designs as well as designs for data and conversion, which included producing a prototype and obtaining sign off from the process representatives. Team responsibilities included software debugging and testing, configuration control, release packaging and installation, support for the Systems Testing Group, implementing quality controls and process improvements.
