Weekly, WET Magazine, Zero, and Beyond Baroque in Los Angeles.     Worked with large publishing companies and advertising agencies for multinational corporations to produce international versions of their Japanese-domestic-market materials. I produced major camera catalogs for Canon and Ricoh, posters and catalogs for Issey Miyake and Charles Jourdan, and Japanese-market ads and packaging for Mauna Loa macadamia nuts. Did Asia-Pacific focused industrial brochures for IBM, and ads for Virgin Airways. Too much other work to list here.

    Tokyo Journal was the largest English-language arts and entertainment magazine for a market of over 200,000 English-speaking expatriates. I began by working on ads for advertisers, then editorial design, and soon became art director. I also completely and successfully redesigned the magazine with a new format and logo.

Published Ralph Gibson, Lewis Baltz, Robert Glen Ketchum and other prominent photographers. Also published portfolios of painter Gregory Gillespie, and sculptors Michael Singer and Mario Merz.I interviewed John Cage, who went on to lend support to Zero.
