A lot of time devoted to helping customers find what they need, as well as work behind the cash register. A position like this strengthens communication and problem solving skills. Other activities involved include: Assisting customers in self-checkout, stocking shelves, collecting shopping carts, properly disposing damaged/returned items, occasionally helping under-staffed departments such as Dairy or Produce.

Spent most of my time behind the cash register, at the drive-thru window, and on the headset taking customer's orders. There was also mandatory cleaning of tables and bathrooms.
