I was responsible for overall Emergency Management for the City Of Krum through collaboration with the Fire Chief, Mayor, other department heads, and Denton County Emergency Services. I oversaw the Severe Weather Warning program, implemented a new Emergency Operations Plan for an All Hazards approach for the city, as well as performed annual updates on said plan. Created and implemented a NIMS Compliance program for the city, along with attending meetings for multiple boards including North Central Texas Council of Governments Regional Emergency Managers and Denton County Emergency Managers. Wrote multiple grants that were awarded, including $10,000 Fire Education training library, $24,000 vehicle acquisition for a new command vehicle, multiple training grants, and equipment grants with a running total over $100,000.

I was a commissioned Peace Officer through Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. I served as a police officer assigned to the Patrol division responsible for patrolling the City of Krum and surrounding areas as assigned by vehicle or on foot to deter, locate, and apprehend persons committing crimes or unlawful activities, reprimand, detained, cited, and/or arrested members of the public; transported to detoxification, mental health, or medical facilities, or booked into jail.
