I am a final-year student at Dublin City University (DCU) set to graduate in October 2024 with a 2.1 Honours BA in International Relations and Spanish. throughout my degree, I have developed a deep understanding of global affairs, politics, and international law, while improving my Spanish language abilities. My time at DCU has also allowed me to develop my analytical and research skills, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.Additionally, working in food services since the age of 17 has complemented my academic work, serving to develop many of the same skills emphasised in my Bachelor's degree. While my degree has taught me critical thinking and problem-solving, my experiences in food service have sharpened these abilities in a real-world, fast-paced environment. Public speaking in university coupled with customer interactions has enhanced my communication skills, particularly in handling complex situations with diplomacy and clarity. The ability to work under pressure, adapt to changes, and maintain effective dialogue with colleagues have also been of great help to me when it came to completing group projects and meeting deadlines in university.I am now looking to transition into a career in which I can leverage my background in international relations, combined with the practical, customer-focused skills that I have simultaneously developed in the service industry. I am eager to bring my skills to a role that can offer me new challenges and opportunities for growth.
