The Institute for Employment Studies (IES) is an independent, apolitical centre for research and consultancy providing insight on a range of employment, education and human resource management topics.Throughout my tenure at IES, I’ve contributed to and co-led several applied research projects for diverse clients such as the Department for Work and Pensions, the Department for Education, the Greater London Authority and the Youth Futures Foundation. These projects have not only honed my research abilities, encompassing qualitative interviewing, research tool development, and the articulation of research outcomes, but have also ignited my passion for exploring youth transitions into employment.

Key Responsibilities:In my role, I coordinated, supervised, and managed shifts, ensuring smooth operations and efficient teamwork. I handled substantial financial transactions with precision while prioritising customer satisfaction. Additionally, I maintained high levels of staff enthusiasm and motivation, liaising effectively with diverse audiences including the public, head office, and administrative staff. Furthermore, I was responsible for placing stock orders to meet operational requirements.Achievements:During my tenure, I achieved significant milestones, including a promotion to supervisor within just 10 months of joining the company. This role enhanced my communication skills, enabling me to interact confidently with various stakeholders. I regularly supervised teams ranging from 2 to 8 individuals, demonstrating my ability to lead and manage effectively. Moreover, I sharpened my capacity to work autonomously and meet deadlines consistently, contributing to the overall success of the team.
