I have worked in the transportation industry for 12 years. During that time I have held many positions. I started as a technician on tractor trailers and worked there for around 3 years. I then worked for the parts purchasing Dept for a little over a year. I then became a technician trainer for 6 years. During that time I had several task such as managing PM services for a very large fleet, writing technical documents, and assisting technicians diagnose and repair equipment. I held a position in the warranty department. In this position I assist in submitting claims to manufacturers for repairs made in our shops. I also monitor and analyze the maintenance costs per unit. I was also responsible for reporting manufacturing issues and working with the vendor to resolve the issues in the cost effective manor. I currently hold the position as maintenance training manager. In this role my group supports the field with documents and other information to assist in making repairs.
