Supervise the planning and scheduling of the daily and long-range operations of the Meter Maintenance subsection to ensure accurate and cost efficient metering of NES customers. Subject to 24-hour call.

1. Plan, schedule, and supervise, the activities of the subsection. Ensure proper training and development, monitor progress, and evaluate employees. Recommend action to accomplish Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity objectives.2. Recommend, implement, and communicate processes, policies, procedures, and metering guidelines to direct reports, other NES employees, customers, contractors, vendors, TVA, and other outside agencies; and ensure work assignments are complete and compliance of the guidelines. Prepare, maintain, and review section records and reports to ensure accurate information from all meter installations.3. Create specifications for tools and meter-related materials/equipment used by employees, contractors and vendors. Evaluate meter-related equipment and make recommendations for necessary changes. Maintain inventory of tools, meters, and test equipment and investigate discrepancies.4. Communicate with employees, customers, vendors, and other entities agencies regarding section activities. Investigate, respond, and resolve employee or customer problems and complaints within company guidelines and policies.5. Research, create, evaluate and recommend changes and additions to policies, procedures, tools, equipment, vehicles, designs, methods, or technologies; stay abreast of the latest automated and electronic metering technology.6. Recommend and assist in the implementation of section goals and objectives. Assist in preparing and reviewing the annual budget for the section.7. Perform work in a safe manner to protect employees, the public, and property. Enforce safety rules and ensure work is performed in accordance with approved safe work practices. Conduct investigations, retain evidence, and complete appropriate documentation.
