About Billy Dee
I have played and taught the Steelpans/Piano/Djembe/Drum kit and Percussion for over 38yrs. Performing around England playing alongside bands i e Aha on there world tour, Phase One Steel Orchestra, Impact Steel Band and having my own business called Sweetpan Promotions. Teaching children and adults with autism and learning difficulties, also primary and secondary schools music lessons. My Steelpan workshops have been part of the Commonwealth games 2022/23 entertaining hundreds of children & adults, also my band members have performed for the 1st time at some great functions. I have been a mobile DJ and radio presenter for over 30yrs playing all genres of music, weddings, birthday parties, christenings clubs, bars etc. DJ and presented my own Steelpan workshops at British Gas/ Hippodrome & Alexandra Theatre and have taught the Steelpans at the Midlands Art Centre/ Birmingham Music Service/Options For Life and Diamonds In The Rough.

I teach music at primary and Secondary schools around Birmingham.The instruments I teach are the Steelpans/ Piano /Djembe and drum kit also percussion.I work for Options for Life and Diamonds in the Rough I have also worked for Birmingham Music Service and Midland Arts Centre teaching children and adults with learning difficulties and autism music classes.
