Leads and supervises a Squad; responsible for the combat readiness, physical fitness, discipline, morale and welfare of twelve Soldiers; charged with protecting the Combatant Commander of the United Nations Command (UNC), Combined Forces Command, United States Forces Korea, and other key theatre level command and control facilities during armistice and hostilities; conducts squad level tactical and situations training; prepares for and conducts military ceremonies of international significance in a highly visible environment; maintained accountability and serviceability of over $100,000 dollars worth of equipment.

Serves as the Army’s ambassador within the community; recruits, determines applicant enlistment eligibility, counsels applicants on enlistment programs and options, prepares enlistment applications, and processes qualified applicants to enlist in the Army and Army Reserve; accounts for and prepares Future Soldiers for initial entry training; implements and conducts Army awareness programs throughout an area covering 4522 square miles with a population of 152,094; maintains a network of influencers to include parents, educators, and community officials in 24 high schools and 4 colleges; responsible for over $30,000 worth of Government equipment.

Assistant Operations Sergeant for Europe’s only Forward deployed Airborne Cavalry Squadron in a forward deployed Airborne Brigade Combat Team which is currently deployed to the Logar Province of Afghanistan in support of OEF 10; trains the Tactical Operations Center and Assault Command Post; responsible for the supervision and training of five Airborne Soldiers and two NCO’s; responsible for coordination with the Brigade Tactical Operations Center for all war-fighting assets into the current combat operations. Assists the Squadron Battle Captain in his daily duties with his expertise of the Command Post of the Future.

Serves as Team Leader in an Airborne Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition (RSTA) Troop; responsible for the health, welfare, morale, discipline, and combat readiness of an eight-man Airborne Cavalry Section in a rapid deployment Unit of Action. Responsible for the maintenance and tactical employment of 3 HMMWV's and all related MTO&E valued in excess of $500,000 dollars.

Performs duties as a Team Leader in a Forward Deployed Airborne Reconnaissance Squadron; responsible for the morale, welfare, professional development of two Cavalry Scouts; responsible for the tactical employment and maintenance of ancillary equipment, valued at over $250,000 dollars and supporting equipment; supervises the detailed gathering; analysis and reporting of intelligence information assumes duties of Squad Leader in his absence.

Serves as a Tank Commander and Team Leader of a Wolverine Squad in a Mobility Augmentation Company (MAC); responsible for morale, health, welfare, integration, and training of five soldiers, concentrates on individual and collective training in support of platoon and company Mission Essential Task List (METL); mentors and provides technical and tactical expertise to the squad; responsible for a Wolverine Heavy Assault Bridge valued in excess of $3,000,000.
