Delighted to say I am in a new exciting role at Fort McKay First Nations, working with the great team in the Communications Dept.

The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is the second largest municipality in Canada, covering an area of 63,000+ Sq Km.Based in the main office in Fort McMurray, my team was a part of the Communications and Stakeholder Relations department. My duties included:• The day-to-day running of the graphic design, web development and videography teams having continual consultation with the Director and all the other department managers.• Brand management and implementation across the organization. • Set performance goals, mentor, manage and motivate my team to achieve the highest standards of performance and customer service.• Oversee creative strategy and concepts for all print and online projects.• To constantly update and monitor on-line (BaseCamp) work schedule for the team.• Create and oversee team budget, approve and authorise all purchases.• Liaison with outside design agencies, printers and suppliers.• Hands on creative with own clients. • Successfully completed municipal leadership course.• 2015 Chamber of Commerce Public Service award of excellence.

MBL Solutions Limited are based in Cramlington on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne and have been established for over 10 years. They have a large and varied client list and provide website, print, marketing, telemarketing, advertising and design services across all media.My duties included:• The day-to-day running of the design and production department having continual consultation with the MD and all account managers.• Hands on creative with own clients. • Successfully manage and motivate my team of designers & developers.• Oversee implementation of all creative ideas from visuals to finished job. Checking all work, proofs etc.• To constantly update and oversee on-line work schedule for the studio.

Admast Advertising Limited were based in Newcastle upon Tyne and had been established for over 20 years. They had a large and varied client list and provided advertising and design services across all media.My duties as Manager of the design team included:• The day-to-day running of the department having continual consultation with the MD and all account managers.• Hands on creative with own clients. • Successfully manage and motivate my team of designers.• Responsible for all staff salary reviews, appraisals etc.• Oversee implementation of all creative ideas from visuals to finished job. Checking all work, proofs etc.• To constantly update and oversee on-line work schedule for the studio.• Set up and maintain company artwork archive.• Wholly responsible for all department costs and spending

Mindscape International is a publisher of computer games software for all of the major platforms in the industry. The International Design Group produced print-ready artwork for all games packaging to set keylines, booklets, sell sheets, leaflets, posters, point of sale material and advertising.My duties as Manager of the design team included:• The day-to-day running of the department having continual consultation with all the European managers.• Selection and interviewing of all the candidates for positions within the design department.• Responsible for all staff salary reviews, appraisals etc.• Successfully managed and motivated my team of designers and support staff, whilst also overseeing all out-sourced design work.• Supervising, co-ordination and distribution of design briefs using the on-line job tracking system I helped devise and implement.• Guardian of all branding guidelines, ensuring all material produced met the branding requirements.• Oversaw implementation of all creative ideas from visuals to film. Checking all proofs, cromalins & film etc.• Liaised and negotiated with all outside reprograhic and print suppliers.• Wholly responsible for all department costs and spending.

Illustrations Design Partnership was a studio specialising in work for clients in the video industry. Their major client was CIC-Video owned by Universal Studios. The work was mainly CIC’s upcoming releases including video sleeves, POS, sales sheets, adverts etc. Other clients included Warner Bros. Licensing Division.
