I am the Speech and Debate Coach for Westmoore HS. In addition to coaching, I instruct communications courses and advise a student organization on campus.

As the primary source for communications education for nearly ninety students, it is my responsibility to ensure individual success, at some level, for each learner. Through leadership training, analysis of evidence within text and spoken language, and performance based assessments, my students learn their content. My classroom is modeled after Aristotle's idea that "the mark of an educated person is their ability to entertain the thoughts of others without fully accepting them." It is with this idea that I teach students perspective; they must open their minds if they wish to see growth.I believe in accountability for one's actions, dependability, leadership, punctuality, management of self and others, love, and perseverance. It is through these beliefs that I hope to change my students.For the most recent 2013-2014 year, I coached my team to many successes; breaking 14 school records in the process. We completed and undefeated season with 11 titles, a 74 point victory for the state championship, qualified 5 students for the national tournament, and coached a student to a national finalist appearance with a 3rd place finish--a first for my school. I am driven, passionate, enthusiastic about any task I'm asked to execute, and am super ambitious.

As a teacher's assistant, I serve the primary classroom teacher and students in various capacities. I am responsible for the management and recording of daily attendance, the design of various engagement activities, assisting with lesson plans, instructing students independently, and am also the head Speech/Debate Coach.

As a Jr. Service Representative, it was my responsibility to assist students and their families with any questions/concerns regarding FAFSA applications or status and scholarship questions/concerns. I was responsible for knowing FERPA guidelines, loan and grant application procedures and processing information, any information regarding status of or application for scholarships. Furthermore, I was in charge of managing the appearance of the front service center and I was in charge of training new employees. My duties also required that I was familiar with UCO's banner system and UCO's procedures and guidelines in regards to academics.
