I have been writing for over 40 years, and often describe writing as, ‘my Pilates’. With a songbook of more than 1600 songs (mostly country), having managed two singers over a span of 30 years, I saw myself in the music business, as a songwriter, before anything else. Recently, having produced my first feature documentary, Was I Next? The Sean Cribbin Story, I’m happy to say I am enjoying the film industry more than I could have imagined.The transition from the music industry to film production was fairly smooth and organic. As a teen, I was interested in photography and I recall being fascinated with filters, shadows and lighting effects on film. Through the years, I did a little extra work on various films including The Collaborator, (Martin Donovan, Director) and Ecstasy, (Rob Heydon, Director). Chasing this budding dream a little further, I moved to Los Angeles in 2013 to work with an Executive Producer on a movie project. During this time on the west coast, my interest in the industry would grow beyond writing treatments and scripts. As a producer and owner of iCogitate Productions, I have assembled a team of industry professionals to help produce our first documentary. Was I Next? The Sean Cribbin Story set the bar fairly high for our first project, having won more than 130 awards worldwide. iCogitate is currently working on a reality series for television, a 3-part true crime docuseries and a new feature documentary.The film’s distributor, Mark Busby of the Film Volt Group (UK) has released Was I Next this past July 2022. The team is working on our first book to movie deal, “I am beyond excited for the possibilities on the horizon.” Cogitate means to think about something so deeply, it changes you. I never anticipated enjoying film production as much as I do, “the film industry has changed me these past few years and I can’t wait to see what story we tell next.”

Initially began as a merchandiser with Match specializing in NYX planograms. When NYX opened their Eaton Centre location, I was hired as a Make-Up Artist and Merchandiser. I set up the NYX Ontario Stores including Toronto, Scarborough and London. When NYX went national, I was part of the store set-up merchandising team responsible for the start-ups in Vancouver and Burnaby, BC.

Worked in the Hotline department at the OLG as a Supervisor. During this period the OLG was working on the NOSP (New Online Systems Project) and I was transferred to Toronto for data testing and reconciliation. After two years of data testing and reconciliation, a train-the-trainer model was developed to train each department in NOSP. Successfully completed 19 customer service courses with Jack Green and the Ontario Lottery Corporation.

Worked with Mamaweswen as a Research Analyst and Senior Planner for Health Transfer. Studied with the Cahuilla Tribe in San Bernardino, CA for the complete devolution of health services back to the First Nations. Health planning at the grass root level included circle planning groups, Elder-led healing circles and First Nation community health surveys prioritizing the wholistic approach to accessing and delivering health services both on and off reserve.
